Im looking around for options on creating some good quality embroidered caps.

Here are some sample caps Ive seen posted by a reddit user:



I am not asking you to go and google the term "buy embroidered caps", Ive already done that you asshole.

Im asking if anybody here already has a source on:

- Blank high quality caps of various styles
- Embroidering service that can do this
- Or best: A one stop shop that can produce these on demand

I got mine done by vistaprint. They also do huge company promo jobs so if you are looking for a lot done you will get a good price. If we are getting stuff done in bulk for like citcon I want keychains added to the list!

Sent you a PM. I know the company does more in the way of uniforms these days, but last time I ordered something they still did embroidery. They also used to do promotional items like key chains, pens, and other advertising specialties. Not sure if they still do them these days or not, but I would suggest giving them a call.

My wife actually has an embroidery machine. She's all booked up, but advice is free. The best price on blank caps is actually Amazon. You get what you pay for, but the ~$15 range on flex caps seems to be equivalent to a $25-30 cap as a finished product. You would have to buy in bulk to get much cheaper.

On the actual embroidery itself, it all depends on how big of a run you want to do. Most places will want to process the graphic itself for a fee. This is due to restrictions of the embroidery machine. It has to do with the "stitch count". It's a fairly simple process if you have the program to do it. However, places like to charge for that sort of thing.

If you have a big run, you can usually find just about anywhere and price up for your profit margin. If it is a small run, or you plan on doing small runs over time, it may actually be worth buying a machine. The machine my wife uses runs around $900 and it has paid for itself about four times over in the past year just doing patches, hats, names, etc. at about 2 hours a week invested. The program she uses was an additional $60. The learning curve was steep but workable as everything is on youtube now.

If there's anything I'm actually a sucker for, its a good lid. The reddit examples are fantastic, if we could get options on something in the same vein as that, without getting garish I'd be so down.

You know what I almost bought a expensive machine a couple months ago to do these caps/hats for test squadron members but I pussied out as I didn't want to be seen to be encroaching on Montoya/girlfriend's Test clothing empire.

And now Montoya boss actually needs them!!! Doh!! Story of my life, wrong place, wrong time, wrong decision!
