It's the super hornet for me, hands down. There are other ships that are technically better. However, they are also more "difficult" to fly.

For instance, if I am really going for it, my Sabre is wicked awesome. I love that thing. It is a glass cannon though. So I really have to fly my a$$ off to keep from getting offed like a 5 year old running around with a squirt gun. Granted, if you have your head in the game and are really going for it, you're damn near unstoppable. However, you really have to earn it.

The Super Hornet on the other hand, you can fly from the next room, while you're drinking a beer, and dropping a deuce in the bathroom, using a mirror to see your computer screen. You can half-ass it and still win the fight. Plus, if you're flying around with the previously mentioned 50% ass, and you run into some serious opposition, you can always buckle down and make it happen. The potential for the Super Hornet is still really high.

So despite having quite a few options in the fighter department, I still end up running around in the SH most of the time. It's like comfort food... for a dogfight.

SuperHornet for me, too. I tried both ships hours and hours, and the Warden (thanks gents, I really appreciate that you are having fun - I've planned that alllll along while creating this thread :D) for me is way too sluggish. I think, when the gameplay of the turrets finally is fully implemented, it will be an interesting escort ship, as "big gun" for a combat convoy or the like: a huge deadly blast right forward, but in need of an escort and/or turret power for possible defending needs. But the SuperHornet? Even if steered by a singleplayer she is hell of a deadly enemy, in attacking as well as in defending actions. Thus I voted for her.

What do you want with a Tally? Its not really comparable with a Lancer...?
tally base is bigger and more versatile. plus is oh so pretty


totally nicer then the space manatee known as the freelancer.

plus i can custom outfit with modules to suit my taste from transport to cargo. Even full on warship

I think it's the rotating engines that just bother me. I love the lines of the retaliator, but then they mess them up by having those awkward skis rotate up when you land. If they put all the engines on the back, I would have been fully sold. The only other issue I have is being totally dependent on the turrets.

As a concept though, I think it will have a very strong presence in the universe. I can see it being the cause of quite a few swear words over the life of this game. "Shit, it's a fucking tally! Go, go, go!"

I kinda saw what you mean buy the turned up engines but it is just a landing mode thing. The overall sr-71 thing its got going is great though. As turrets get better a good tally crew is gonna be the bees knees

Stick a new M7A laser canon on the snout of that varden and go hunt down a SH. Also, I vould like to change my wote to beer!
I actually had this happen out in the PU just the other day. The fight was about 10 minutes. He just couldn't hit me because he turned too slow. My problem was, I hit him about a million times but it wasn't sustained long enough to knock out the shields. I was running an all energy loadout so he eventually caught me with that M7A. I was running ballistics though, it would have been over in a few minutes.

Now if he had caught me unawares, it would have been over long before it started. I saw him creeping up on me though and never let him put me in the crosshairs. That M7A can assassinate just about anything. A surprise attack from that beast would be deadly.
