This has probably been asked before, but what ship blows your hair back?
  1. What do you like in the way it looks?
  2. What do you like in functionality?
  3. What makes it better than similar ships of this kind?
  4. What do you want to do with it in the game?
  5. Is there any specific ship brand that you like? (RSI, Origin, Anvil etc.)

Mine probably has to be the Anvil F7C-M Super Hornet.

1. I love the utilitarian look of it. It may not have the curves of an Origin or Aegis ship, but it's down right iconic.

2. As for functionality, I just like how versatile it is. The ability to mount up to six weapons mean thing die.... painfully.

3. See above.

4. Kill. Things. Dead.

5. I tend to favor Anvil because of their reputation. They are the premier military supplier and their ships haven't been associated with an oppressive regime that massacred its own people...(cough...Aegis...cough). Plus I personally find the angular, militaristic design really appealing.

I am also quite partial to the SuperHornet

  1. I like it's agressive utilitarian military look. Reminds me of an A-10 Thunderbolt II
  2. I fly with Mouse, throttle, and Pedals. So I LOVE the ability to stay on target that all those gimbals afford me
  3. For me, personally, its the All-Gimbal loadout and the craft's general tankyness
  4. Kill those that aim to kill me. (Also it has a back seat to pick up space hookers)
  5. I really am a bit of a MISC fanboy when it comes to the aesthetic, but I own a Carrack and a SuperHornet, so I'd better say Anvil, huh?

As far as released ships go the Sabre or Super Hornet are pretty much pound for pound the best you can get. I'm partial to the Gladiator myself, but without proper missile pylons and flexibility in selecting missile payloads (not to mention other things slated to be mountable on Pylons like ECM pods for example) it's a bit subpar.

As far as concepts go, I love my Caterpillar to pieces. Looks like someone welded a bunch of shipping containers together and then welded some armor plates on it. Big enough to do whatever you want while still small enough to be manageable by a small crew. Modules are going to make or break it, but I'll always keep mine.

I would say the Cutlass but jesus that is a long and torturous road to go down.

I'd say the Glaive.

  1. What do you like in the way it looks? It looks like it's designed to hunt people down.
  2. What do you like in functionality? The blades on the wings.
  3. What makes it better than similar ships of this kind? Swords... on the wings. Seriously?
  4. What do you want to do with it in the game? Crash into people and walk away from it.
  5. Is there any specific ship brand that you like? (RSI, Origin, Anvil etc.) Drake, because I can't afford Esperia lol.

Excellently supported and efficiently stated. Well done, sir! You are truly the voice of our generation. Godspeed, you magnificent sonofabitch!

Edit: Carrack is love, Carrack is life.

My favorite future ship, most likely the Genesis. Somewhat worn out on the outside, transporting people to and from the not so wealthy (and possibly more dangerous) places in space.

But for now its the F7C into the A

It looks militaristic, shoots militaristic, feels militaristic and crashes militaristic... :p

I also hope to see a less flashy racing ship in the future, I just don't like the looks of the Origin 300 series ships

I like the Freelancer DUR
Small Multicrew, probably still managable alone,
enough space to put some stuff into it (Dragonfly, cargo and maybe some salvage too)
good scanner
Nothing which probably draws to much attention from space pirates
Long Range
Oh and its supposed to be the biggest ship going through small wormholes (when i remember right)

or the larger version: Carrack ^^
