So, some of you may know, I have been wanting to join the stream team for a while now. Sadly, I also love my full time job because I actually have been able to make a difference, even safe a life or two. Anyways, with winter coming I have decided to start signing up for overtime anywhere I see it but first I need to build a plan so I know how much money and overtime I gotta sign up for. Here is what I have so far.

Intel i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz
16.0 GB of RAM
Graphics card i think is an AMD Radeon 7700 (Not to sure but I know it is not a very good one)
A bull crap keyboard, a cheap as hail mouse
an HP Monitor which has treated me well
a harddrive with a TB of memory, do not believe its HDD.

I don't have a HOTAS, Star Citizen does okay on frame rate from time to time, but if I try to record or stream it drops significant frames which makes my content un-enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to all of your advise. I have even cut my alcohol intake (Still stings) so I could put more money towards this. If I forgot any specifications please let me know. I'm also wanting to start stashing money to do giveaways. Hopefully to recruit new players to the Star Citizen community and TEST.

Unfortunately, bad news time, I still have financial obligations for work that are just unavoidable. Ammo, gear, etc. Which is part of the job no complaints.

It's hard for me to tell you guys how much this means to me. Completely real moment.

When DayZ standalone came out (Just run with me) I was so excited, playing my heart out and trying to do my part to make the game great. Unfortunately, a lot of development issues and community problems, I lost the love I had for a game.

Then came December of 2015. Christmas day, I finally had a computer that could manage itself (Console boy) and I fell asleep watching youtube videos. Somehow, Chris Roberts video came up trying to crowd fund this game. I was so confused, it sounded like Everything I wanted in a game. So I did my research and decided, aye a small investment. Then I played, watched the videos. I was in love again.

Then the group invites start rolling in. I get one from CosmicTrader, and now here I am. I have much love for everyone in the community. I used to donate all the time, help everyone, check on the daily. Sadly my real life got in the way and I went MIA. I want to get back to that. I love all of you, I love the vision for this game. In a way getting involved in Streaming and going to events is a goal of mine I have not set for any other game.

I don't know how this topic got so real, I even have to change the title now. Anyways I'm looking for all advise. I know I need a new graphics card, hail I've contemplated selling my playstation to invest in it. The only option I haven't considered is prostituion or Go Fund me. Anyways, Beers on me. Thanks.

Love,
Hero

I think there are 2 things that will help you get streaming for SC... the first:
Get a new video card, GTX1060+ or AMD R390+ ... Not sure about the AMD cause my current AMD card is a 7970 back home.

With a GTX1060 or higher fps tends to be a steady 60 in Hanger. (Results are current: using a GTX1060 in my laptop atm)

Now the second thing is optional but worth giving a thought:

Wait until 3.0 if you want to play with things like Crusader. The fps here is limited by the engine, we have no real influence over this. FPS normally doesn't go any higher then 40. The more people do stuff the lower the frame rate, regardless of where it is happening.

Good luck!

I get 60 fps with a gtx 980 4 gig. I will hold off buying a card as long as I can.
There are things the 1060 will not do compared to the 1070 or 1080.
I read this on the DCS forum and those cats know their stuff.
If I was buying now, it'd be a 1070 or higher.

First, don't work too hard.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the NVidia ASUS Strix 1080 GPU.
This is my card --- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814126106

I just received one from a friend and get fantastic framerates. (Not Over-clocker)
[I am getting better framerates then a friend with dual 970 GPUs]
Not Over-clocked it uses a Max of 180 Watts.
Over-clocked it can use a Max of 300 Watts. (Not really needed)

It is expensive but worth the cost over the long term if you are building a new system.

Anyway, I thought you should know this before you decide.
Best wishes on your new system.

Then the group invites start rolling in. I get one from CosmicTrader, and now here I am.
Hey, I don't send group invites. Oh, you mean from all those other 'orgs' that Spam....,.
I send invites ONLY to those people that I think might like it here in TEST SQUADRON.
See, my method works. You are here and we are all happier and better off.
*** You got an invite from CosmicTrader because you are Special.

The only option I haven't considered is prostituion or Go Fund me. Anyways, Beers on me. Thanks.
Prostitution sounds like more fun. Thanks for the beer.
Cheer.
