Hey, testies! This is a kind reminder not to miss the free CCUs on Saturday.
We assume that Saturday, the day of the grand finale, CIG will make all the ships that were offered throughout the week available again. I've compiled a list with all the $0 CCUs from ships that are permanently available on the RSI store to the limited ones, just so you can access them in the buyback menu anytime you want. Here it goes:

I've also been grabbing some of the <$20 CCUs for some of the other limited ships (even some I don't really care about) and melting them the next day.
Who knows when I'll need something? With all the restructuring I've been doing to my fleet, anything is possible.

I've been doing the same, only trouble is hard to find stuff in my hangar with all the CCU detritus. Such is the hidden price of too many ships and upgrades ;)

I melt everything I buy (that I don't intend to keep) 24 hours later, so it doesn't get crowded.

Are you sure about this? I thought the buyback pledges cost exactly what you payed for them.

Doesn't matter IF you don't buy everything because its for free but for having the flexibility to upgrade lateron, when you want to. As for example, I today put the DUR -> Ghost and DUR -> 350R in my Hangar, both for 0 EUR. So if they lateron cost me 10 or 20 bucks, it doesn't matter. I just want to keep the opportunity to get a 350R when I WANT IT and not when CIG decides to offer it now and then (which annoys me since the day I started with SC).
