I've been a backer since November, 2013, and I quite literally became an Imperator Subscriber today. With me comes about a baker's dozen of ships, from a puny Constellation Phoenix all the way up to the mighty Aurora LN, I have a few bases covered in the raging spaceship addiction department. I don't see this ceasing anytime soon, much to my paycheck's dismay.
Anyhoo, do you guys like watching complete and total strangers play video games on the internet, possibly while not wearing pants? Me too! I'm a regular streamer on Twitch.tv, spending about 99% of the time focused on Star Citizen (the other 1% can't be mentioned while children are present). If you'd like to check out my stream and watch some unique commentary, gameplay, and a full grown man put hyperactive 5-year-olds to shame, come stop by and say hi. I've even plastered the Test Squadron logo on my broadcast to let people know that frequent crashing and piles of bad jokes are imminent.
Stream: www.twitch.tv/Captain_Richard
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10pm to 12am EST & Random Weekends
Test Squadron's own BadNewsBaron recently invited me to join his stream team, BadNewsGaming, so you can find me there as well as hanging with the guys from Bearded Warriors. All good dudes!
Questions? Answers!
Where you from stranger?
I live and work in Washington, DC; home of racially insensitive football, billions in wasted taxpayer dollars, and implied world domination. It's a quaint, little town.
What drew you to Star Citizen?
I'm a long time gaming enthusiast, stretching back to the early 80's. I've taken particular interest in space and sci-fi PC games since I was a kid; from Rescue on Fractalus and Zaxxon to the original X-Wing and Wing Commander series to modern day titles like Star Wars: The Old Republic and, of course, Star Citizen. I am completely stoked on the latter and it's already shaping up to be the game and space sim I've always dreamed about.
What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)
Honestly, just cruising the stars and living on a ship, dealing with whatever comes my way. Call me nerdy, but most nights while in bed, I picture myself in my own little ship, pretending the sound of my air conditioner is the hum of the engines, my bedroom windows being the only things separating me from the infinite void of space. I think this game will be easy to get lost in, both physically and metaphorically.
That and shooting people. Yeah, definitely shooting people.
What was the first game you remember playing?
Probably Pac-Man, Pong, and Missile Command on my Dad's Atari 2600.
What other games do you play?
Currently Minecraft, Skyrim, and a little Planetside 2. I like most genres, but typically play FPS and MMORPG games the most. And yes, I am a retired WoW player of 4 years. The horror...
Picard or Kirk?
