Is anyone buying multiple Hawks? I am super broke but I really want one as soon as I get money.
Oh and my computer is broke so no 3.0 for me

I think this concept is really well thought out and it looks amazing!I'm debating getting one as an upgrade for my Herald. Extra 5 bucks, but I like the combo of light fighter/ECM pods.
Seems like a nice hybrid between an Avenger Warlock and a Gladius, gonna wait to see how the Q/As look before I bite the bullet however.
Will they have the warbond until the 11th? I might have to buy it from someone who has it on buyback if I can't get it now. I really don't want to melt another ship for it.They are on sale till the 11th, so you have a while. Plus a few of us are throwing them into our buybacks
That's a brilliant idea! Buy it, melt it & then buy it back just before it becomes hanger or flight ready. They are on sale till the 11th, so you have a while. Plus a few of us are throwing them into our buybacks
I like your thinking. That would be an epic battle. Hawk as the new Aurora? That's a brilliant idea! Buy it, melt it & then buy it back just before it becomes hanger or flight ready.
Imagine how terrifying it would be to a large rival faction if all 15000+ TEST Squadron members showed up for an org fight with these. We could use Zerg tactics to get close to the enemy ships & set off waves of EMP's that would render their ships all dead in space. Send a few people back to return with Reclaimers & feed all of the enemy ships into them for processing.
For sure. Why I really want it is because I want to do bounty hunting... Plus it looks amazing.I'm waiting to see what else comes up. The talked like they might drop variants later in the week... at least that's the impression I got. Plus last year they did that "Masters of Flight" thing, so I'm gonna wait and see.
I like your thinking. We cripple their ships & then blow them up with kamikaze runs TEST Aurora style perhaps? *Imagines the sight of a EMP crippled Bengal that is fully staffed being turned into Swiss cheese as countless TEST Squadron Hawks fly full speed into the helpless Bengal until it explodes.*I like your thinking. That would be an epic battle. Hawk as the new Aurora?
My buyback has multiple LTI Buccaneers and Defenders, probably a dozen LTI Dragonflies and Noxes (Noxi?) including 2 packs and even a couple LTI Cat with 2 Fleas packs. I may have more money than sense, but I've spent next to nothing but credit this past year. Everyday of the sale that I remember to, I'll be melting and then purchasing the Space Pigeon. That's a brilliant idea! How long do you have to wait before you can melt a new concept ship for creds? I have 1 target to hopefully obtain each day on the 27th & 29th which might empty my saved creds that I have on hand.My buyback has multiple LTI Buccaneers and Defenders, probably a dozen LTI Dragonflies and Noxes (Noxi?) including 2 packs and even a couple LTI Cat with 2 Fleas packs. Jesus, they're already plugging variants for it. This has got to be a first. That DireHawk sounds suspiciously like a "super hawk" to me, 8 guns on a little baby fighter like this is no joke.Anvil has announced via earning’s call that active development of two Hawk variants will continue into FY48.
The DireHawk project, which is based on a popular third-party conversion, aims to add an additional two Scattergun mounts and supporting battery.
The second variant is ShadowHawk, a stealth variant intended for more advanced hunters and potentially military sale. At present, the ShadowHawk removes two guns in exchange for stealth armor
coating and the addition of a data spike array.
I agree about the DireHawk. The ShadowHawk reminds me of an idea I had the other day of an OWL ship in honor of @Blind Owl that I posted in some other thread here. From the brochure:

Stat page (grain of salt, I know) has Hawk's EMP device listed as a weapon instead of a utility mount. Maybe, just theorycraftologizing here, Warlock is area-of-effect, Hawk is single target, and Raven is just an overall improved super-EMP. I was really hoping the Caterpillar's "parking sensors" were another EMP device, a tongue in cheek way of saying they make your target park. But that never developed and I think I was just clinging to the hope that the Cat wasn't melt fodder.Wonder what the effectiveness difference is between the Warlock, Hawk, and SabRaven EMPs?
Frankly the Warlock had better be hella more effective than the Hawk if the Hawk's only negligibly more $, with more dakka, and still room for a "passenger". Whereas the Warlock is around solely to lug around the EMP.
You can melt ships gifted to you, and gifting is the only way of trading ships I know of. But you can't gift ships bought with credit, at least, I think that's how it works. If I get credit for a ship that I bought from someone else and buy another ship with it, can i repurchase the ship that I melted?
Last I was aware of, 24 hour cool down on melting any purchases. May have changed, I've been out of touch with SC news for a long stretch. How long do you have to wait before you can melt a new concept ship for creds? I have 1 target to hopefully obtain each day on the 27th & 29th which might empty my saved creds that I have on hand.
Sounds like heresy to me. If you don't want to adhere to the Codex Testiculus, make sure the Inquisition isn't listening. How does everybody feel about the following? "Our Auroras will blot out the sun & our Hawks will flood the planet with the tears of your mothers."
I do like the look of the Hawk. And I'm a sucker for Anvil ships. I like the way they look. Plus a light fighter with 6 guns is sure to pack a punch. And if the rumors about the DireHawk are true, well.... I guess I'll be burning my wallet again this year.I like your thinking. That would be an epic battle. Hawk as the new Aurora?
For sure. Why I really want it is because I want to do bounty hunting... Plus it looks amazing.
So if I, let's say, melt my Orion and buy a hawk, can i repurchase my Orion on a later date? You can melt ships gifted to you, and gifting is the only way of trading ships I know of. But you can't gift ships bought with credit, at least, I think that's how it works.
