I'm waiting to see what else comes up. The talked like they might drop variants later in the week... at least that's the impression I got. Plus last year they did that "Masters of Flight" thing, so I'm gonna wait and see.
Did you get any of the masters of flight ships? I wasn't too sold on them because of their paint jobs. The only one I sort of liked was the Gladius Valiant.

There has been mentioned, a few times, by CIG team that there will be limitations as to what you can wear and carry while piloting. Long Arms and anything more than light armor is on the list as probably not going to be available in a pilot seat.
There have, also, been mentioned by CR and others, that you are not just going to magically pull weapons and equipment out of your pocket of infinite holding, and equip it, wherever you happen to be, hence the weapon racks and lockers in later ships.

A bounty hunter ship without either a weapon rack or a locker doesn't sound like a good plan, especially in a ship where you are working alone and chasing down bounties directly from the ship.

Now using it as air support and prisoner transport as part of a bounty hunting team, it makes sense, especially since we lack a ground vehicle with a trunk to throw a bounty into.
A ship with a similar mission profile that can replace the Merlin on a Connie makes an incredible amount of sense for a Bounty Hunter.

I ended up buying all of them all, though I only kept the Gladius Valiant and the Hornet Wildfire. I like the Valiant's loadout, and the paint ain't too bad. I mostly bought the Wildfire for the looks, and having a backup for the Super Hornet. Wasn't too impressed with the Avenger or Saber variants though.

Starting to really warm up the Hawk, like the glass floor cockpit, and the EMP is real nice touch. Thinking it might be a good low cost ship to run at release, and with LTI on everything in the ship at time of purchase, that's a pretty sweet $90 deal imo

Wonder how that EMP will be if you are not wanting to fight another ship and risk getting blown up and losing your hard earned and as-of-yet unpaid contract on the live bounty in your rear cargo and prefer to make a fairly clean getaway? Pop EMP, get the hell out of Dodge, profit?

I think it looks cool but I don't see the appeal of it especially when the Cutlass blue seems vastly superior if money isn't an issue. All things being equal though, having a diverse universe of ships will make the universe vastly more interesting.

I think they both have their place.

Cutlass, Blue included, is more akin to a light gunship than a fighter like the Hawk. So that's already a playstyle difference right there if you prefer slow and steady over quick and nimble.

Blue also needs more people to be most effective, since it's designed to be a 2/3 man ship. Certainly solo-able, but better for small group content.

Certainly the Blue is better at bringing in bigger bounties, but I think it's a bit unfair to call the Hawk inferior. They do the same role, just with different goals. If you want to snag one person and you're solo, Hawk might be better. Or if you're with a buddy who prefers to fly his own single seat fighter rather than crew a larger ship. Cutlass Blue is gonna be better for coordinated groups or for snagging multiple peeps.
