I think it is actually larger than the Freelancer now. Course, the Freelancer is supposed to get another going over, but not sure if the size will be adjusted.

It's looking like most ships were originally concepted too small for whatever reason, and now everything is adjusted and made larger to accommodate a more "fun" and less restricted feel when moving around around inside your ship

More room to stock up on alcohol supplies in a single trip to restock the bars after having several of you helping run missions together.
Because a well lubricated crew seems to enjoy the insanity of the glitches most. Especially when that lubrication is in the form of consumed alcohol for those that enjoy such things.

Josh Coons told about this in the ship shape of Saturday. It's more or less doubled its size. On top, Josh would really like to put some guns at the side doors for having pirates doing...the thing.
well at least there is the idea of doing it:

I like the side doors and the removal of the old boosters on the side but the massive parking sensor things on the front I do not like. The cockpit is massive.
