List of new Key Bindings for 3.0

Hey guys, trying to start a list of the updated key bindings for sharing since they might not be obvious, and some of them have changed from 2.6.3

Self-destruct / Suicide (very important for Testies) = LEFT Alt + Backspace
Leave seat / cockpit = LEFT Alt + F, Press and HOLD
Ship Lights = LEFT Alt + T
Jumping = After selecting jump location in mobi glass, Press and HOLD B
Quick Ship start up = F5
Star Map quick key = Home

Feel free to add on!

Edit: The current keybinding layout in the options has not been updated yet. Check the advance customization settings for the actual keys.

hmmmmm, according to the screenshots Right ALT + F is used to get up, but the ingame hints say Left ALT + F. I guess that the keybindings in the options menu isn't completely correct.

[EDIT] Correction, the screenshot says something completely different. I'm confused :sweat_smile:

Yeah the keybinding layout ingame hasn't been updated yet, which was why I chosed to type out the ones that don't match, I should have mentioned that sorry :sweat: I'll add a note to the first post.

What kind of Testie would we be if we didn't have SD buttons to press on demand, or when we feel like it, or just for laughs? :grin:

What kind of Testie would we be if we didn't have SD buttons to press on demand, or when we feel like it, or just for laughs? :grin:

I have it for voice attack. Makes it easier.

Why must the suicide be some two-key combo on opposite sides of the keyboard? Why can't it be something easier, like, a single S for Suicide.

Well, I think this design reduces the number of TEST Squadron accidental suicides due to random typos, or doing a face plant on the keyboard. That sort of thing. I get it though, lots of people have been stuck in their seat, unable to get out of their ship, so some kind of suicide button is their only escape short of re-starting the game.

Speaking from my own experience though, the whole requirement for suicide assumes that I could get into my ship in the first place. I'm batting about 60/40 against at the moment.

I was triggered by the Cutlass engine start problem. [F5] is a shortcut for "Flight Ready". Most ships except Cutlass and Constellation do "Power On" at "Flight Ready". In PTU issue counsil I found that this was a known issue, not mentioned in Patch notes. [F6] is the shortcut for "Power Toggle".
