Which ships to try in 3.0 for REC?

Dear Testies, i need some suggestions as to which ships work best in 3.0.

I got the wife an aurora starter pack over a year ago, and its time to get her introduced to crashing around the verse. She has no REC but I have a 100k left over from being subscribed, which means I can spawn it for her to fly around in, if we can get on the same server for once..
Anything you can rent for REC from the website is on the table. But I want my rec to last until we can get ships for alpha uec ingame (so probabaly for half a year at least) and dont want to spend it on ships that dont really work (300, gladiator seemed mostly unplayable last time on the PTU). So which ships have the least game breaking bugs, and are the most useful per rec spent?

I still got a few days left on a Warden and a Buccanneeeeer back from 2.6.3 times, so I expected the rec renting to work just fine... I'll keep on flying those then.
Anyways, as it turns out, my second PC can't quiet handle the live release universe, so I'll have to postpone the co-op part at least. It worked just fine with PTU dammit. It's really strange cos the game seems to run even faster on that significantly older and weaker GPU, but then it crashes a few minutes after takeoff...

Yeah, the Cutlass seems like it would be a good choice. Thanks!
She has no idea yet, but I think we will want to try some easy pick-up/transport missions, so Freelancer and Cutlass looks like the ones to start with.
But first, she will need some flight training in AC.
2.6.3 was a looooong time ago....

Given the state of things, you also might want to look into an Avenger Stalker for 1 of you as once its revision is completed it will have those bio pods be removable for cargo transportation missions or left in for the bounty hunting tasks. I point this out now because it will most likely be going up in price once its revisions are completed & released.

Of all the ships I tried (eahrrrmmm... crashed) since PTU 3.0 to Live which is all ships flyable now in 3.0

I had most fun and most value for buck in...
Ships in the order I value them as most ship for buck as of now..

Cutlass Black Nr:1 ship at the moment IMO without a doubt it's almost all the ship variants in one ship.

Prospector easy Nr:2 ship absolutely amazing to fly and the view out of it when exploring it's unbeaten, you won't miss a thing.

Sabre/Hornet/Gladius (they're equal in my opinion, Hornet is the most stable of them, Sabre most fun to fly of them three but they're all great)

Avenger Titan/Stalker/Warlock Cool with it's new entry point from side of cockpit, make it a lot more fun and easy to fly.
(tho I'm not fond of Avenger flight in atmosphere is a little unstable if you fly to fast but it do fly great if you fly slow in atmosphere.)

Freelancer ( no special change, it still feel like driving a school buss nothing dramatic happen when in a Freelancer :beers: )

Aurora well what can you say it's a Aurora..

Mustang... mm.. well it's a Mustang like the horse kinda wild still and unpredictable but great fun if you like that.

Connie.. yeah it works! ( it make a hell of a nice explosion too )

Vanguard well it's a rock strong as a Tank but that's about it for now...

Herald... yeah in a straight line woohooo!!... anything else yeah it got a bed LMAO

300 series well it's kind of little to screwed up IMO, i should wait with this one tho they seem to got the 315 to work fairly okay now.

Retaliator it's like the Freelancer without any real function now but stable and really a lot faster and more agile than I expected, I had a lot of fun canyon racing with the Retaliator. Yes you read that right it was a lot smother and better for that than I would have guessed great fun to fly it.



Well that conclude my current opinion on the ships I tried in 3.0 (so far)
