Any Node.js Ninjas in the Org?

We are moving into node.js at school tomorrow night, and I'm curious if anyone here has any experience??

Node.js had security issues from 2014-2017 but patches since then have fixed a variety of the vulnerabilities. That's my extent to seeing it in forensics.

Think about it...as a baseline, to be into this game, you really, really have to be nerdy.

And then on top of all that nerdiness, this goes even further! (says the guy who picked up a "Learn to Program in Javascript" book this weekend and went about a quarter of the way through it...).

I'm not a massive fan of programming to be honest. My skills are more in line with using the tools and kits created by others to do forensic and red-team work currently. Luckily there is plenty of room in the IT field.

now that you mentioned it, liking to shoot things and blowing things up may be a more important pre-requisite.

I know what you mean. Stack overflow has saved me many a time.

As far a node.js I have installed it and written a couple scripts to run with it. I can't say I know that much about other than I was able to use it to test some integration code I was working on a couple months ago. Just remember Google and youtube are your friends when learning to code. Also, don't try to recreate the wheel unless part of your class is creating a wheel.
