Does anybody know if the Carrack be on sale for a while or is it a limited thing?

I am in love with this fucking ship. However, I just can't convince myself to spend another $350.

I have the option to work overtime at work to earn a few extra dollars, but that will take me a few weeks to earn.

What do you guys think? Do I have the time to earn some extra coin for this or is it going to go away soon?

Wait for the next ship in the same price range to come out in LTI, then cross-upgrade to a Carrack, giving you an LTI Carrack. That's what I am going to do, if I decide I want to spend real money on internet spaceships again instead of buying them with earned in-game currency.

If you do buy them with real money, you get backer status and LTI if you're quick.

Get it if you want it to be your own but remember you can always pick one up in the PU. Also seem like there will be plenty of room on crews for them my own included.

Try the hornet if you want a bigger ship, or a gladius if you want a ship that's a bit more maneuverable.

We unfortunately don't know how it will perform in Arena Commander yet. It has fewer guns (3 on the Gladius versus moar on the Hornet) for sure but we don't know for certain how strong they'll be (only the type), the Gladius will have a smaller shield and a smaller power plant, but will very likely be fast, given it's very light weight. It will likely fall somewhere on a scale in between the Hornet and the M50 as far as trading firepower/armor/shields for greater manuverability It will have a laser focus on dogfighting, as it will have no cargo space.

I bought a Gladius when they were a concept, because of it's unadulterated and unapologetic sex appeal.

I wanted something to use in Arena Commander, and something for TEST military operations. This will likely be the first ship I ever take for a spin in the PU.

Thanks to you guys I now have a Gladius on the wishlist. It looks like it will be on the store for a while so I am going to wait a little while since the carrack just burned a hole in my wallet.

Has there been any hints as to when it will be flyable?

Yeah. I'm gonna hold off on a new gladius purchase until I see it in AC and see how it stacks up against the current fighter meta.

What are the general opinions on the avenger vs the gladius? They both kind of have that aging thing going on and both seem maneuverable.

Due to it's implied agility, I think the Gladius will be able to take out the Avenger in the hands of equally skilled pilots.

I see the Gladius as a dedicated fighter whereas the Avenger is more of a utilitarian patrol / pursuit ship.
