Heey fellow drunk citizens,
In the light of the recent announcement of a free to fly Hornet week it seems like a good idea to do some kinda friendly flight school activities. This way anyone can learn how to fly the Hornet and maybe make a decision if you want to get one. So if you are a new pilot join us. All experienced pilots are of course more than welcome to join in. I am only an above average Hornet pilot , so if you think by yourself.. Damn I am a pretty damn good pilot I can teach poeple stuff you are welcome to join as instructor. The event will be on Wednesday 10-12-2014 (European format DD-MM-YYYY) from 8pm until 4 am CET. For you American guys that is from that is 1pm until 9pm CDT or 2pm until 10pm PDT.
Communication will go through the new Test Mumble server: Mumble.Testsquardon.com. We will be using the dedicated Arena Commander channels Alpha, Bravo, Etc…
During this event we will promote the glory of Test Squadron Best Squardon through the usage of Twitch and the RSI forums. If you want to join this event as a twitch streamer please contact me so we will be able to set up some multitwitch action.

In the interest of adding some variety we comprised some minigames next to the normal gamemodes we can play. If you have any additional ideas feel free to yell them. So we will be playing:
Battle Royal
- Free for all slaughter in space. We will be doing this with all kinds of load outs. From the basic to Super OP Superhornet bullshit to senseless load outs like only Bulldogs up top or only Mantises. All in the interest of getting some weapon variety.
Squadron Battle
- Team based slaughter in space. Same as the above but with teams and more bullshit!
Racing
- Crashing at maximum speed… In space.. We will be doing all kinds of races. Doing insane stuff like all uncoupled mode or backwards-3rd-person racing.
Ramming Simulator
- True Testies need to know how to ram an enemy pilot and what ship better to use than the sturdy hornet. Also we will be practicing evading such suicidal actions.
Follow the Leader
- Credits go to Kiltedfrog for this one. A lot a pilots seem to have some problems with not-ramming those OP asteroids. So in this minigame one will be the leader. The leaders job is to fly the most difficult route through the asteroids belt he can find. All other players will fly after the leader in a single file. If someone crashes the person behind him takes his place and the sucker that flew into the asteroid will join up in the back.
Edit: To make this even more hectic firing at the leader is allowed as are missiles. No countermeasures thought!
Capture the core
- Capture the flag.. Eehhmm.. Core.. In space.. Learning how to defend a target like the Russian Roulette is a noble goal as an escort fighter. So we will be learning this by playing this gamemode.
Missile evasion training
- Since a lot of people have issues with avoiding missiles in arena commander due to the last patch. We will be practicing said evasion of missiles.
Occupy Tunnel
- The Hornet is not a good racing ship. Not at all. But it is good at clogging up the tunnel in the races. So we will practicing how to keep someone from getting through there and also how to actually get through there. Think like, a blockade of aurora’s you need to get through to get to that juicy Capital ship.
Every single one of these activities is meant to make us all better pilots and of course promote the Glory of TEST. Please let me know if you will be attending so I can make a rough estimation of how many instances we need to run this properly. And also if we manage to crash the Test Mumble server.
In addition to this all I hope to do multiple giveaways on the stream for the best runner-up pilots.. But that is still to be seen if I can manage to raise some funds for that.
