people want a high quality hotas for $200 dollars......hey thats the X-55 and we all know it has flaws.........
really if u want to do a hotas it needs to be at least $250-$300.

That's the option I chose, 250-300. I'd like people to have a good option between Saitek and Thrustmaster.
Buy a Warthog, paint a Star Citizen logo on it.

Ain't gonna lie, I'm a little pissed I didn't see that sooner. I just got those exact items about a week and a half ago.
What they can do is that they say; Hi Saitek, or thrustmaster or w/e; we've made this poll where 50.000 people says they'll be interested in a stick that can do these things "yaddayadda" and hopefully the big company then will be like; okay nice, there's a good demand for that; we'll make it!
Ouch, sorry man. Well you've got an awesome set up anyway. I have the Saitek pro flight pedals.. not as nice as yours.
Agreed, and I would even raise that expected amount, or make the thing modular so people can buy the pieces they need over time.

It amazes me how the most expensive mouse with a ARM processor on board only costs 80$, yet some pedals and a joystick costs half of my laptop.

The mouse is probably made in the thousands or tens of thousands if not hundreds; pedals, joysticks and HOTAS components are much more niche market and don't get the same economy of scale. They're also made of more rugged materials, as people are expected to put more umm...enthusiasm into their use than the average mouse sees.

I picked the cockpit accurate option for the HOTAS set-up, I figured high quality was a given heh... But I feel it would be very immersive to be able to actually HOLD joysticks that look identical to the ones on screen.. if it weren't for the fact that each ship has a different set of sticks :\

I second this! I have actually had very little issues with mine and love it!! I wouldn't recommend it for the small handed though

I made a post on the forums https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/209627/sc-hotas-feature-wishlist/p1 I hope the relevant people at CIG see, but the chances that this will turn out any good are slim to none I think =(
