Where to start.
First hi to all the other members of Test Squadron. Glad to be aboard.
I'm from Arizona, which gets crazy hot during the summer in Tucson and Phoenix, but hey, at least it's a dry heat...except during the monsoons.
Writing and storytelling are my passions. Though possible, I’ve no illusions of becoming rich or famous, and they may not be the noblest of things, but they are the legacies I wish to leave behind. When we've had time, a friend and I have been writing and developing a detailed (but not too detailed, because that can kill a gamer's/reader's enthusiasm when reading anything) fantasy RPG setting, along with plans to write several novels set within said fantasy world, some of which already have outlines. We started working on our fantasy setting almost 20 years ago, but creating a detailed universe others will hopefully enjoy with only two people takes quite a long time, especially while having to work regular jobs.
A friend of mine introduced me to Star Citizen some 5 or 6 years ago, and I've been waiting impatiently ever since. After seeing that the alpha had a lot more content than I thought it did, I decided to sign up. As for what I'm looking forward to in Star Citizen, I'd have to say pretty much everything.
Growing up I remember playing Privateer and then years later Privateer 2, and though I really enjoyed them, their scale and scope, and even many of the space sims that came after, were just too limited to capture the terror, wonder, and enormity of the universe.
My first organization invite was from Test Squadron. I sat on the invite for about a day, read more about them, was highly amused, and felt the organization to be a good fit for me.
I honestly can't remember the first game I ever played, but it was probably something like PacMan. Growing up my uncle would take me to a huge arcade every year for my birthday and the quarters never seemed to run out.
I used to play World of Warcraft, then stopped for a few years and came back to it for Legion. I didn't like the direction the game appeared to be headed after Legion, so I tried Final Fantasy XIV, which I still play occasionally. As of a month or so ago I also play Black Desert Online (for $10 I figured it was worth trying out), though only occasionally.
My RSI handle is Archasimos.
Kirk is fine and all, but I prefer Picard.
I'm a big fan of Supernatural, and the quote in the image below is something I feel strongly about.
