Another random thought...if you bought a Vulture, you would get the Prospector as a loaner.
When the next anniversary sale comes out, you could get a CCU (they are the same price, so a $0 CCU) and convert it to a Prospector.
Of course, when mining comes out, you'll probably like that as well and want a Vulture...so buy 2 Vultures now, and keep one and CCU the other to a Prospector, lol!

Unfortunately, you can no longer purchase 0 dollar CCUs
BUT, the Vulture is 15 dollars cheaper than the Prospector, so you could buy the CCU.
I don't think he is watching this tread any longer :(

I must be wearing orthopedic shoes, because I stand corrected! No more $0 CCU's...but I thought the non-warbond price was the same, $140 for both...???
But, that could be a good thing, if he bought the ship he liked! :D
Prospector will likely be for sale again once 3.2 is officially launched in the PU since it is the main ship for this patch.
As Steve said, the price has increased to $155

I go back and forth with, "Do I like mining." I was getting bored with it before, but now with the new moons off Hurston....I'm back in love with mining again.
I'm also looking forward to hangiong out in that asteroid belt by Microtech. I think I may just upgrade my Vulture to a Prospector...
The other thing is, doing one thing gets boaring so if you can do a bit of cargo, then do a bit of mining, then do a bit of fighting, then you will have a better time than if you stick to one thing only.
I learned this as I used to have all cargo ships as I specialised in space trucking. It may be good when the gamer launches, now, in reality its no real fun to do it day in day out. Especially when you are at the mercy of patches and dev errors (like cargo hauling being totally unprofitable from 3.0 - 3.3)
