I'm over at Lior Leser's site, waiting to see if he will post an update on the Crytek vs. CIG suit.

Unrelated to Star Citizen, he has recently posted 2 **great** videos, which I'll link below.

1. When is an oral agreement a valid contract, and when is it not? This video is (my opinion) a must watch for everybody. Great life lesson here they don't teach in school (unless you are a lawyer!). I see @DirectorGunner already viewed it:

While there is a great deal of truth to the observation Holmes was a logical positivist and pragmatist, and that he changed US law, it is probably not true that today's conflicts about free speech concern the law nor interpretation of the law.

Today's conflicts are much less evolved and generally occur on college campuses based upon ignorance of the law. There are a host of influences at work, but in general it is fair to say that today's youth have no understanding of history, nor US law, nor the intentions of the Founders, nor the principles upon which the US was formed. They can't explain, describe nor define capitalism, but think it the world's greatest evil. They do not understand socialism, but find it chic to support. They do not understand fascism, but some will actually support fascism under the anti fascist banner.

The real change as regards freedom of speech all concern not the law, but the notion of civility, and in particular Saul Alinski's writings in his "Rules For Radicals" where he instructs that in a public venue, one should never allow a political opponent to speak uninterrupted since this could lead people to agree with him. This tactic for handling the media is now forcing its way into human relationships.

Hence today's trials are found not in the courtroom, but in the streets, with bats, knives, Molotov Cocktails, and under black hoods. On university campuses, speakers deemed "dangerous" because they disagree with socialist principles, are attacked most often by children who don't know what capitalism nor socialism are. This is all popular movement away from the principles of civility, and why we see such polarized and aggressive behavior. Civility it seems, is old fashioned and no longer of value.
