3.3 Performance Analysis

Hey testies,

I've been on a nine month hiatus from making videos, but for this patch, I just had to. For people that enjoy watching videos instead of reading text:

for the rest, I've sat on Port Olisar on both 3.2.2 and 3.3 and recorded the fps a couple of times, then I averaged out the results. Then I did the same in orbit over Daymar, and alone at a Comm Array. The results:

The usual disclaimer that a sample size of one isn't big at all, and your results may vary is applicable. However I did try my best to test properly.

I'm a subscriber. PTU option lit up in my settings, then I copied my account and it took about an hour to get the mail.

No special steps.

I got some time on my hands right now, I'd like to try this for myself, if I sub now, do I get access?

Lord, When I subbed in December just for one month I got access within minutes. You just have to go into your RSI account PTU tab and copy your account.

Its a balance though as 3.3 may get released today, tomorrow or in 3 .3 weeks, So it may be a waste of money.

3.3 is so buggy on the PU. The airlocks off Port Olisar no longer have lights, attempting to get into the HammerHead kills you.

The cost of a sub is about as much as I'm willing to spend on further support at the moment. I was thinking of buying a Mustang but with the 27% VAT here and having to convert to euros, it's just a bit over my limit.
Anyways, I was impressed with yesterdays presentations, and I got lots of free time atm, so I'll just pay my cheap-level sub to the project, and jump in to see how good or bad it's coming along with the ocs and such.

Put the sub money towards the Mustang. What you will get from 3.3 PTU is not much more than 3.2,2 right now.
