Industry My crappy little Asteroid Mining 3.3.0 vid

Thought I would do a short video on asteroid mining. Something I have noticed is that when you ping with your scanner, it does not always show a box where the ore is, it just pops up with the range. From what I have seen, you must be 10km or closer to pick up a mineable asteroid.

First time doing this sort of thing, hopefully it does not show too badly.

NIce video!Thanks for reminding me that I can try mining on the ptu! I was so carried away by the 50+ fps I was getting that I totally forgot I can just pick a prospector from the list and do this as well lol

Great vid! I really really like the new mining mechanics, and OCS makes mining WAY more do-able because smooth framerates make for less explodey rocks.

Good video! I went and did asteroid mining yesterday, and I liked it better than mining on a planet. I still got a little weirded it out when the rock would explode, shower me with pebbles, and then the cockpit voice would tell me I was "under attack." I just went up to the first asteroid I found, mined some copper, and got about 1400 UEC for it at Grim.

I started using the Advanced Keyboard...it took me a minute to figure out that Mining mode is the '/' key!

With the better frames, the laser is also more responsive to the mouse scroll wheel...much better experience in 3.3!

S'okay, I got a full load of Laranite, was headed to Port O and it lagged out, thought I was going to crash, but didn't. Landed on the pad, went in and...no laranite. Not a single SCU.

Well, crap.
