Lucas spent 20 years trying to do a live action TV series, and was never able to do it. IIRC, he leased The Presidio to build an addition to Skywalker Ranch, just to house the world's largest computer network dedicated to doing the 3D modeling necessary to a TV series, and eventually had to agree with what he had been told--that it was impossible to do a quality TV series on the max budget for such a thing, about $20M/episode. Most TV series the cost is less than half that and some reality TV series it is less than $1M/episode.
I am thrilled Disney is doing this. There is no other film project I have wanted to see so badly, for so long!

It's alright, but not as good as this....
i really dont want to get disney streaming as i alerady have 2 amazon primes, netflix, and Crunchyroll..... this is honestly the only thing im interested in from the disney streaming service.

I don't pay for any entertainmentn sevices, but I would pay for this. What I'm curioous about is how long untiul it finds its way to DVD/Blue ray release. If it's like GoT, I could wait half season and just pick up the discs at the library.
