conny vs cutlass black and 300i?

well as you guessed im think about trading my 300i and cutlass for an constelation taurus.
i mean DAMN thats some hughe cargo space and i bet later on i could transform it into anything i need.
i have an mustang beta so i have an exploration ship.
the 300i is rendered unnecessary since i got the beta.
and the cutlass.... well somehow i don't know... its a cool craft but in AC it handles like.. well crap
the conny is a big ship. true that! and its propably a flying target in the pu. but it can haul a tonload of stuff. and make some good credits i gues.

so what you guys think?

The Taurus will be a pretty great cargo hauling ship. If you feel like you're not going to be doing any interdiction/bounty hunting/pirating and are full-on into the idea of space trucking, I'd say the 300i/Cutlass trade for the Taurus would be worth it.

in my mind i propably would be more of a foot soldier in fights and space trucking would be my main thing.
but i would like to do some pirating with maybe a second carackter?

Well, if you dont lose LTI, you can just melt them and check out the Taurus. Those ships arent limited, are they?

Sven, nah they aren't limited.
Personally I lloovvee the Connie, the only reason I don't have one is because I had to melt my Phoenix when they dropped the LTI Carrack as I wasn't liquid enough. Will probably get one later even though with a Banu and a Carrack i'll have no real need for one, as you mention, it looks like the Constellation will have a lot of customization options and will be able to fill most rolls with enough mods. Aside from being a great way to make some cash early on with that big cargo hold, you'll be able to build it up a variety of ways sooo in my opinion regardless of where the PU takes you I think it would pay to always have a Connie in the hangar.
Test needs ammo on the front lines? Test needs an inflight refuel? Need a missile platform to counter bomb those Retaliators? Need an improvised command and control boat? Need something to make semi afk trade runs in while you watch porn on the other screen? I think you get the idea.
I would go for the Connie.

I personally love the Taurus, and you can always upgrade to a Merchantman if you need the extra space. The Constellations are great ships, very versatile. Definitely worth that melt.

I would personally wait until the connie is in AC (probably later in 2.0). The reasoning is simple.. the cutlass is still going to be fixed up with its flight mechanics and such and will still out fly the connie any day of the week. BUT that cargo space is AMAZING on the connie... but since it will not count for squat until the PU your getting nothing till then.

Unlike the people above who commented my opinion counts more for two reasons. One its mine.. I mean.. come on.. right? and two - I have a cutlass blue upgrade, a cutlass blue package, and an avenger (plus my fighter and racing ships)..... these three ships are all on my chopping block for a connie as well. So basically I'm in the same boat... but I'm enjoying the fact that I can fly two of the three ships (I also have a Herald that will grant me the LTI for the connie too when it comes to CCU).....

Here is another reason why I'm holding out. Maybe.. just maybe we might see another connie sized and priced ship that is more "rough". The connie is PRETTY; but even the "lower grade" grade cargo version is still a sexy ass ship. It's Dash Renders YT-2400 Outrider compared to the Han Solo YT-1300 Millinium Falcon... I want the falcon. Dirty and grime and just old.... .. it could happen ;)
