Welcome aboard you poor unfortunate soul, I hear they don't really do the alcohol thing on New Cabbage as it leads to a mode of thinking that their Patron Saint "Mr. Spock" would claim was "illogical" although as fun is subjective I argue logic never came anywhere close to anything that was even remotely interesting.
I haven't had a drink since last year, so can sympathise.
It really is unfortunate that the booze is in a state of "look but don't touch" in the common area.

No, I suspect that they're crying because we have more people to hang out with during events that lead to the inevitable "Hold my beer, I'm going in" moments.
Also, I'm pretty sure that some of us recently raided their supplies of alcohol, leaving them to deal with this Chinese mess & the slow crawl towards SC being released, while sober.
