I don't understand how everyone says its so EASY to collect these presents..... I almost had to fight a npc at the bar to give one of these presents up.... for some reason he would not take his hand off of it while I was there.

What? I'm not sure which sort of Luminalia present you're talking about. The 1's that people have been running around scooping up are small, green & have a red ribbon. The NPC's seem to be completely oblivious to them.
