Pyro coming in 2023? Where's my Liberator?

Pyro was supposed to be barren, mined out, environmentally very hazardous, and basically empty.
They've apparently retconned some of that, because, I guess, they've needed to show something.
But it is still supposed to have large distances between fuel stops and not supposed to be a pleasant place to be especially for small short ranged craft, which is the one type of ship that a vast majority of backers have, as their only ship.

Enter the Liberator, able to traverse large systems while carrying small craft.

So if Pyro is supposed to be in the next 12 months, where is the Liberator on the tracker?

More ships than just the Liberator are missing. There's also the issue of NPC's who try to walk into walls, or stand on seats still.
Oh, trust me, I get that. But the Liberator was pitched as being essential for Pyro. It calls into question if they are serious about releasing Pyro this year.

It is pretty much essential to have a carrier of some kind for Pyro, and I was rolling my eyes but not at you or your comment, but about them -> I also own a Liberator. If there are 2 ships released every month for the next 4 years, they still wouldn't be in a good place, and that's just ships they've promised (and already taken payment for). Some of them had their initial concept sale a decade ago. That's kind of bad business practice in my book.

I'm curious as to whether the Expanse will also appear alongside Pyro (or before, in 3.18 or 3.19 to allow players to become accustomed to using it, like the starfarer and refuelling) as in theory it only lacks the physicalised cargo system in order to be made playable and would remove the need for static\operational refineries in Pyro.... With the unrefined output from the Vulture also supposed to be able to be processed by the Expanse, it would make sense to have them release at a similar time.

Given there doesn't appear to be any identifiable entry in the progress tracker that I could find for the Expanse (despite it having been "announced" earlier this year), it could be one of the "unannounced" vehicles nearing release, as there are 4 "unannounced" ships which had related\concept work done in the roughly 2 years leading up to the announcement of the Expanse (according to the progress tracker)
  • One had concept work done 12 months prior to the Expanse's announcement and nothing since (so no reason to "hide" that it was the expanse - the Legionnaire's "concept" work is labelled from around that time)
  • One had concept work start around 2 months prior to the announcement, with this continuing until February next year.
  • One commenced work with the EU vehicle team (no listing of concept work) 2 months prior to the announcement of the Expanse, with overall work expected to complete late November.
  • One had concept work start around 8 months prior to the announcement, finishing around a month later, with other teams (EU and NA vehicle teams, audio, and VFX) scheduled to finish work by the end of this month.

Of these, the most likely to be the Expanse would be the last, as far as I can tell, although the ship which has no listed concept work could also conceivably be it, though this is much less likely... I can't see the Expanse as having been ready for 2+ years in the state it was when announced.

No mention if the tractors will be released for tasks other than Salvage? It will suck if CIG puts them on the Vulture and Reclaimer, but not on the haulers that have them like the Cutty, and 315P. I thin they're supposed to aid in cargo loading and unloading speed.

One thing I do see arriving with Pyro: People complaining that the fastest Quantum Drives available won't let them travel across the system (or to reach certain areas) and that they need to "fix" these drives so they can get around in Pyro as quickly and as easily as they can in Stanton.

Luckily I've stuck with using the stock components in my ships so far, so Pyro shouldn't have too much of an effect on me if I decide to visit (although the Bolon's will have to be upgraded to at least a Huracan for the slightly faster speed and better fuel efficiency once Pyro launches).

I think both ops assumptions are invalid. Pyro needs server shards and given they are just now wrapping up database persistent after being in development for two years I think it's a tad eager to think we will get Pyro next year. The second is while there is lots of space between stations they have already introduced refueling so while a liberator would be nice it's not required to get around Pyro.

CIG has been talking Pyro as coming soon for a while now.

The only way the Starfarer works in this role is if a properly manned Starfarer is escorting fighters. So the "PVPers" will need to "git gud" and "hire escorts."

Yes they said we are on the road to Pyro starting this year and will culminate with the release of Pyro in 4.0 and while I hope for it to be what next year's citizen con I am not sure its enough time. If I were to make predictions it would be 2024 for Pyro and 2025 for sq42.

And yes single seater fights will have a hard time in Pyro with out a fuel buddy. But it will give room and show the advantage of the muticrew ships

IF Pyro doesn't arrive early/mid next year as they said it would, with all this hype, there will be riots.
We do Not need sharding for pyro, having a way to transfer all your data between servers is enough, and they are doing that right now.
Doubling player count per server means you need half as many Stantons, and can have the rest run Pyro. Pair em up, use the jump travel as a temporary loading screen, done.

As for Pyro becoming more green and actually having stuff in it, I don't mind. Having a mostly empty useless space as a new "feature" wasn't very compelling to me.

Ships, MOAR SHIPS! We need them alll, NOW!

If we are talking about The Expanse, I want the Rocinate and a squad of Martian Marine Force Recon troopers.
