Mmmm. Looks good. Video game adaptations generally bomb but this one seems to have the pedigree (Showrunner, cast, HBO backed) to buck the trend. Here's hoping!

This looks damn close to what I remember the games looked like (never played only watched a playthrough of 1), I hope it turns out as faithful in storytelling too!
Remembering that opening from 1 still gives me chills, that was good writing.
Seein the girl running and hiding and acting, ya know, like a child would instead of straight up punching zombies to death like most modern shows would do it, it gives me hope. HBO has been on a roll with HotD and such so... this might end up as a not bad adaptation!
@Aramsolari exception to the rule, Edgerunners on Netflix. It's not a straight up adaptation, but it's really really fuckin good, and not just "good for something based on a vijeo game" good!

The original TLOU had some of the most intensive opening cut scenes. I mean even Seth Rogen of all people was like man....this is intense.
Yeah Edgerunners is on my list to watch. It's anime though....so slightly different haha.
