First time at an IAE.

I was planning on doing another one yeah, and I'm looking forward to your contributions as well.

I mean, if you want to start one I'd be more than happy to contribute there instead of course. Doesn't really matter who does the thread, as long as there is one so new members (and old ones) get a heads up and we can make a record for later.

It's probably best that you do it: The daily sales start at 3AM here, so having someone who is in a more appropriate timezone take care of the initial post and updates to help people with as early notice as possible would be better than me possibly being 6-8 hours late with my posts (3 or 4 of the days I have things on my calendar that will mean I probably won't be in a position to post until around 8 hours late).

I'll take care of the same type of updates as at Invictus as soon as I can each day (I'll try for as close to 3AM as I can, but some days I will be late).

As a side note: It may be worth considering mentioning in the initial post some of the upcoming releases (Vulture, Hull C, etc.) that people can buy CCU's for (with credit or cash) that will probably increase in value in a month or so.

As others shared, I see IAE as a 'get-them-while-you-can' limited-time ship sale. Any deals are happenstance highlights.

'Deals' come in the form of new concept ships (buy 'em with LTI while you can), 'warbond CCUs', and a shot at limited quantity (not just time limited) ships ( e.g., Javelin, Idris-P, Kraken, etc.)

Its the best time of year to buy if you want to expand your fleet.

Yes we can still gift a ship that way, keep in mind your son needs a game pack, not just a ship. And so do you.

I think @Ltmifune and @Garonman have both been reading vibes of the rest of us from previous IAE's. Those vibes are supposed to send shockwaves through your wallet.

Just for example: The Pioneer, if they offer it this year was sold at LTI Warbond at $850 USD in 2017. The price is not going to be lower. We haven't heard a thing other than occasional mumbles since. Also, if you're married and don't feel like paying alimony, my suggestion is to plan to buy a truck load of bath salts of her favorite fragrances.

Though... it is possible to buy it, melt it, then use the funds to fill yourself up on other ships using the store credit. Then over the next year or two, you can squirrel away enough to get it back. Also IAE is the biggest sale, but not the only large sale. In roughly 6 months, there's another chance, though it's mostly military ships.

If he doesn't have an account created yet, make sure to use your referral code when creating it - You get some goodies for your account, and he'll get extra starting credits when the game releases.

Sadly, it looks like there may not be a free ship for referrals at IAE, so if you just do free-fly and hold off on the starter pack (probably until 3.18), it may also be possible to get a bonus free ship\vehicle each as well (assuming his account was created with your referral code).

The Pisces that you receive with a Carrack (As well as the Ursa) are not upgraable. The only way that you would get a Pisces with a Carrack which you could upgrade would be if you have a package (UEE Exploration 2950, for example) that lists both ships as being included in the package.
