The guy I was going to go through fell through. Agreed on $3000 for $1500 and he ended up selling most of it to someone with no trades (starcitizen_trades) at 60%. I mean I guess I can't be upset.

Anywho. I'm paypal verified. My rsi account is linked here and through starcitizen_trades reddit. Will be done through PayPal invoice.

No worries if no one offers. I'll take it as a sign not to buy the kraken lol.

Wait, what? If I'm understanding you correctly, you're looking to currently buy $3k creds (aUEC) for $1500 in order to purchase a Kraken?

My original want was kraken and pioneer and enough left over to start buying upgrade tokens on sale and get into the ccu chain game. Bc of a recent pioneer post and the atlas thing, I've downgraded to only wanting the kraken. So I'm trying to get $1500 for $750. These asks are usually only reserved for people that are deep into the ccu chain game. Not for people that just happen to have credit.

To clarify on what I mean by this. These people buy everything at extreme discounts often and they usually have a lot of credits, a lot of ships (sometimes multiple of same), and a lot of upgrade tokens. I've seen their chains before. Usual credit sales are around 55% off and 50% for higher amounts.

I see. So here's what I know, neither version of the Kraken, nor the Pioneer can be CCU upgraded into, so the CCU dance won't help in obtaining those, only real money (new or in store credit) spent on them the few times they are available & after winning any F5 (refresh) battles in order to add them to your shopping cart.

As for purchasing creds, only actual UEC will remain in your account through the various waves of wipes that CIG will do periodically when required on the road to full launch. While CIG has been doing their best to stop wiping the aUEC for the past several patches, they are probably still going to wipe everything that isn't account bound a few times between now & then, and guaranteed to wipe everything not account bound at official launch. At which time, the only UEC that will remain to start with is that accredited to your account, which is gained through real money purchases of various packages or from purchasing UEC directly from CIG themselves, which I have never seen any discounts on in the nearly 10 years that I've been a backer of this project. You can tell how much UEC you have saved up currently on the RSI website when you click on your profile pic in the top right corner of the screen.

Sorry for any unpleasantness this info might cause, but I prefer to be honest whenever possible, even when the truth hurts. At least now you'll know what to expect.

No. No unpleasantness. I've been researching this for awhile bc it's something I've been trying to break into myself. I apologize if I didn't explain it well enough.

I know that the kraken and pioneer can't be ccu chained. I honestly don't buy anything unless it's ccu chained. I haven't had a chance to break into ccu chaining myself bc I wanted to buy upgrade tokens that were percent marked off. Was going to try this November. You also can't gift anything over $1000 value which is why I haven't bought it on the grey market like my other ships. So what is left is real life money or credits. Well u can buy an account too I guess but no ty.

People that do extensive ccu chaining actually come out well ahead. To a surprising degree. These people are also whales. They will have credits on their account. They will also have multiple upgrade tokens, and multiple of certain ships. So when I do an ask for credits at a discount it would be from one of these people. Like if they had 4 ships or 4 upgrade ccu chains to get to a ship they could sell 4 times for $375. Or 2 ccu chain ships for $750. They give those ships to me and I melt them for my $1500. I give them whatever percentage was agreed upon. Someone that does not do this would never sell their credits for a percentage off. And I don't expect them to.

I hope this doesn't come across negatively in any way. I don't mean it that way. You happen to be one of my favorites. Don't make it weird.

Ok, so I'm starting to understand what you're saying. I've got many ships that I've gained through the CCU dance. Though if those ships are melted, the melt value that you'll receive for them is only the value of how much real money was used to get up to them, not actually how much the ships are worth. The past ILW, I used dozens of WB CCUs to upgrade multiple vehicles with LTI into much better vehicles (in my opinion), most of these WB CCU's costing me $5 but increasing the vehicles to another that would normally cost between $15 -30 more. Such as my $380 Galaxy that started as a $75 ROC-DS that was achieved through 15 different CCUs, mostly WB of about $5 a pop. Most of those CCU's were gathered through various events & sales for over a few years. I'm not trying to make things weird, just to help you be able to achieve your goals as reasonably as possible.
