Kinda slipped under the radar for me. I vaguely this game was in development, really nice to see it's almost out. Anyway I'm sure many of you guys played Mechwarrior 2 back in the day! Remember this soundtrack?

Kinda nice that they picked Smoke Jaguars for this game. Lorewise they’re kinda the antagonists of this era. I mean they could have gone with the Mary Sues (FedSuns) or the Uber Soace Marines (Clan Wolf).

We'll have to wait and see. What I've gathered from the trailer the Smoke Jaguars ARE kinda antagonistic, or at least that cold hard b*tch obviously running the show is. While your young, new and unproven Star (5 person team for the uninitiated) has come to terms with the situation they find themselves in. Could be great storytelling. Could be... painfull... We'll see.
At least it gives me something to do aside from complaining that I can't attend Citizen Con.

The thing too is that the lore in the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe is so rich. There’s so much that Piranha Games can do with it if they do it right. I’m hoping this game will bring Mechwarrior to a whole new generation of gamers and revitalize the franchise!

Yeah it totally blew my mind. My family’s PC wasn’t powerful enough. Didn’t really play it till much later!

looks like some issues that will be fixed with patches. Hope it gets a lot of post launch support like mercs did. im a sucker when it comes to this seriies. ill be gettting it further down the line, my limited gaming time is being consumed by other things right now. if anyone gets it, let us know your thoughts, particually if you played mercs,.
