Hi, everyone; I'm introducing myself
Where you from stranger?
Midwest, USA
What drew you to Star Citizen?
Along with the space-shooter nostalgia factor (ie. Wing Commander series), ultimately I wanted to see new, higher standards set for PC games. Crowdsourcing allowed CIG to break the mold of dumbed-down "play it safe, and take no risks" publisher oversight. I look forward to seeing how CIG takes advantage of their relative freedom by playing by their own rules.
What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)
Looking forward to immersion--any flavor will do, but variety is best since I generally get bored quickly with any one thing. I'll PvP to defend allies, but that's all I'm comfortable with right now. I greatly enjoy probing out wormholes and other anomalies in Eve Online, so exploration is definitely on the table. Industry and commerce are only fun in small doses. Whatever the activity, once I find a clique, I'll probably spend most of my time following the crowd, popping jokes, and finding ways to be useful.
What was the first game you remember playing?
Either Impossible Mission (1984), Telengard (1982), Adventure Construction Set (1984), or SkyFox (1984) Sorry; so long ago, things kind of blur together.
What other games do you play?
Recently: GRAV, Arma3, and Watchdogs. All time, according to Steam: Skyrim (775 hrs omg what am I doing with my life?), Terraria / Minecraft / Starbound Chronicles, Just Cause 2
How did you first hear about Test Squadron and what convinced you to join?
Looking for a large organization, so I'd have a lot of company. I also enjoyed the whimsical adverts. Based on these initial impressions, I'm confident that I shall enjoy the casual play style while making new friends.
Picard or Kirk?
Can I choose Q instead? :) In my opinion, Braga really hit the nail when he said that serving under Kirk would be "more fun" while suggesting that Picard was more of a "buttoned-down" captain. Don't get me wrong, there is a time and a place for serious action, but since this is a video game, my first priority is to have fun. Kirk.
