Then things got Kung Furied

VAT 2.95
Shipping 17.72

Declared Value to Canada Customs = 36.00
Exchange Rate of 1.94 GB to CAD = 69.99

GST (Canadian VAT) - 3.50
PST (Provincial Tax) - 5.59

Processing Fee - 10.00
COD Fee - 4.25 (The Delivery guy doesn't carry change)

So a guys shows up to my door and says I won't give you your $69.99 poster unless you pay me $25.19 in cash.

I've ordered a few things from the UK in the past and a couple times, the package included a form that said I needed to pay a VAT fee as a recipient of a UK export because the exporter didn't pay it themselves.

Those forms go right in the trash. Good luck enforcing it from across the pond. o_O

This is so odd, because I send like $50,000 in stuff every month, and depending on the shipping, they either get taxed a lot with imaginary high values or its slips completely by. Usually using private companies and using faster, overnight shipping, avoid customs completely.
