Free and Cheap Cross-Chassis Upgrade Goodness

I was checking out the new CCU system and it dawned on me that now is a very good time to stock up on free or cheap CCU upgrades while the military ships are on sale. Especially the Super Hornet, Gladiator and Sabre because their costs are so close to each other.

For example-
Super Hornet to Gladiator upgrade. Cost = Free
Gladiator to Super Hornet upgrade. Cost = Free
Super Hornet to Sabre upgrade. Cost = 5.00

I figured if I got a bunch of these and put them away for later, it would be a cheap way of being covered if you need a different ship.

Same thing works for the Retaliator - Aquila / Aquila - Retaliator too.

(My apologies if this is already common knowledge, I thought it was pretty slick).

True and thanks- original insurance carries over from the melted ship. I edited the post to correct it and removed the word "insurance" as I had used it to mean hedging your options, not the actual insurance.
