I'm tentative. I can't say I didn't have fun during the Battlefront Super Spectacular Saturday we had a while back. And the game looked and sounded fantastic. It played pretty solidly (barring snow speeder flight), though I'm not particularly thrilled about the whole power up mechanic. It felt like there was some balancing issues on the Hoth map, but that might have just been a general lack of coordination with the Rebel team.

On the whole, I'm just in 'wait and see' mode. I don't like the lack of space battles, and with what it has to offer now I'm not keen on the idea of paying $60 for it. Unless they add a boatload of content (space battles especially) I'll likely just nab it when the price is super low and more proportional with my value of it.

Yeah, I was whelmed during the beta test but not overly hyped. Was hoping for more on the release.

I would say that I'm reluctant... but that's a bloody lie. I love Star Wars. The only problem is it's going to cut into my Fallout 4 time.

I have to say I was not at all interested in getting this game or even playing it, I originally only played the beta because we were doing the testie weekend thing. But as I played it I started to really like it. At first I was getting frustrated with being a rebel but when I got the hang of playing and was able to really send out the right commands to teammates the game got drastically easier and greatly more enjoyable, teamwork and strategy make multi player in this game. I was very surprised and and even more pleased that was the case. This made it so I could have pick up and go mindless matches yet still have game play options when I want to actually put in effort. That said playing with friends makes this much more fun and gives you many more hours of enjoyable playtime!

In the end I decided to preorder after the beta with a GMG discount code. I feel it was worth the money at $40, and I am a person that does not pre order lightly and furthermore have not pre ordered in the last decade with exception of Star Citizen which I do not count as pre ordering but rather funding a project. So my conclusion was, if you get a good deal or you are really excited bout it treat yourself. You will have plenty of testies to play with!

Battlefield in shiny Star Wars clothing, if liked BF4 good for it and it's does look like DICE had some more money to spend on it.

I played in the beta for quite a while.

Honestly, this game feels like a quickly thrown-together project to capitalize on the Star Wars hype train. Plain and simple.
The gameplay is stale - its the copy/pasta gameplay we've had since Modern Warfare. It lacks depth in customization. The maps, while cool to look at, are poorly optimized for competitive multiplayer. The spawning system is just horrible. You can 100% count on the DLC for this game being out of control. And let us remember Titanfall and Evolve: after the initial launch, everyone quit playing. So after everyone see's the new movie and the hype dies down a bit, are people going to still play? I say no.

I would never buy this game personally, they cashed in on the Battlefront name without adhering to what made it such a great series in the first place. The amount of features it lacks in comparison to two games from 10 years or more ago AND still charge you the full price for a game with a bloody 50 dollar season pass on top if it is shocking, lazy and greedy on the part of EA and DICE.

I'd have no problem if it had being a new franchise but when you try to cash in on a fanbase like that and give them no value, I'd rather give them no money at all.

It looks visually great but to me it has no soul, no real passion behind it.
