Download speeds

As I sit here watching SC update I always make note of watching my Download speed normally 6.3-6.5Mb/s

As i have the top of the line package in San Diego I feel this is total shit.. for our collective edification please post your location and avg speed if your so inclined. I know the UK internet blows away the U.S. but across the U.S. I'm curious at the difference you gents and ladies have observed.

Fiber cant come fast enough!

I'm still at work so can't comment on my DL speed for this patch specifically, but generally with the SC patcher I hover around 15 Mb/s when I turn the limiter off (though I've seen it spike up to around 30 for a short time). Location is Chicago.

I love how all the cable companies have total a monopoly in their area in he U.S.

The SC downloader has always been extremely fast here. Hovers around 35-38 MB/s.

Here is Ontario, Canada on a Rogers cable connection.

I have to cap the downloader at 4MB/s or it causes my DSL modem to crash and I have to power cycle it.

So, I get 4MB/s.

~12MB/s in tuc-town AZ. Gigabit is now available in some areas here too now. Need to look into that.
