ParticleBlaster Arena for Android Devices

It's a space shooter in an asteroid field. It uses your devices accelerometer for control and the buttons on the screen to lock targets, fire weapons and missiles. You can slow down time, and you can zoom the camera in and out. I developed it a while back and has not been tested on many devices, so may be a little quirky in some cases.

Its for Android. It's free. Give it a try!

let me know if you have any issues, bugs to report, or suggestions!

hope you enjoy.

Alright I'm using an LG G4, am in no way professional and played a few rounds but here's what I've got so far:

The Concept is good and mechanics are pretty solid, contrasting color of your/enemy/asteroids ships works very well.

I Want to play more, but:
  • THE BUTTONS ARE TOO SMALL I can press them sure but they are just way too small for comfort, being totally covered i have to rely on things changing onscreen rather than looking at them.
  • 'settings' button for re calibrate seems to do nothing but forces me to exit game.
  • Spamming main lasers and lock is EZ, no need for rockets or serious dodging once i figured out they drop shield replenishment. Perhaps implement a bar around the button like shields that limits how long you can fire, recharges faster the longer you don't shoot.
  • Again missiles seem to have no use, takes a bit long to lock and then launch is so hard to press i might as well just close and laser.
  • Pressing Lock multiple times should cycle targets
  • non-time dilated moves VERY fast, too fast. Maybe make the slower setting default with the option to speed up for those who get good. Implement a timer in the upper right to denote time spent in-game since start, being unaffected by dilation level gives a competitive reason to get better and go faster.
  • Enemies don't seem to have variety, but that can wait because it might get complicated.

Sweet! thanks for the feedback.

Calibrate is supposed to zero out the accelerometer if flight control gets out of whack. When calibrating, you will want to hold the device where its most comfortable and press calibrate. This then becomes the zero point and the ship should not move.

As far as everything else goes, I will spend some time on your input and ready an update soon.

Thanks!
