Need help with Photoshop work for my Iracing cars/skins

Hey all.

Im looking for a Photoshop talent to help me create two Car skins/paint jobs for my other expensive gaming hobby Iracing.com

I currently only race the Indycar and Truck oval series and its these cars i would love to have TEST skins for! Nothing advanced, just Black and Yellow cars with the TEST logo on it and a link to my twitch page and a small Swedish flag located somewhere.

But if you feel more creative then that then im all for it. I have the .PSD files needed for this, i can email them or host it on an online filesharing service if needed?

Below is a 4 series tutorial on how to paint the cars, but if you are a photoshop wizard allready then i doubt you will need it.

Being able to crash my cars painted with the TEST Theme would great, *cough* i meant being able to win races with the TEST theme on my cars would be great ;-)

I can't make any promises to work on the skin for you (I'd start a riot I think if I do something that isn't a wallpaper right now lol), but I would recommend that you upload the file to google drive (or your approved file share of choice) and link it. There's a lot of great talent here and it doesn't look like this would take much time at all.

Ok! Great! Like i said before im not looking for someone to spend hours upon hours on this, Black N Yellow, Test Logo and shit :D

But if someone feels the need to go nuts on this, then im all for it :)

Looking at the Indycar template, that got me confused, looks like a cluster fuck, i wonder if anyone can paint the indycar without access to the game to check its progress. The Truck car is doable tough i think? without access to the game?

There should be a 3D model viewer that you can use in the process of painting it. This typically makes it a lot easier.

Ya the way most people do it is they load up the custom paint ingame in a test/practise session to check their progress on it, i guess this will be hard to do if you aint got access to the game?

Hard to guess where all the Indycar parts goes, but the Truck car should be doable?

Yup, shouldn't be difficult for most folk. If there's a 3D model you can download that is the same model as the one in iRacing, you can also just use Photoshop's "3D Paint" mode.

At work i decided that once i get home i would buy some shit to make me a couple of Bloody Marys, said and done, downloaded GIMP and got to work again, two Bloody Marys later and this is what i have come up with. Im fucking proud.

Haha, thanks man, i did OK considering no previous experiance i guess, but if someone with real Photoshop talent and a sense for these things would step up to the plate then i would still be exstatic about it.

I just painted the base car black and Cut N Pasted some Test logos onto it :D

Sometimes keeping it simple is key. Get too much going on and then it might look ridiculous.

I used to do alot of texturing. You can up the detail by increasing the resoltuion, i.e instead of say 512x512 you can go 4096x4096 and then add insane level of detail if you good with GIMP and using other maps that do shadow or lights.
