Hello people of the Best Squadron!
I'm honoured that I could join your ranks, and I'm looking forward to playing SC with y'all! Especially if that stops my ship getting constantly stolen in Crusader :D
I'll write a lot of irrelevant details below, feel free to get to know me better!
Where you from stranger?
I'm from the place where the worst ever Die Hard, and recently most parts of the really good Martian were filmed. Europe/Hungary/Budapest
This means I'm on CET but I usually play late at night so it doesn't mean much.
What drew you to Star Citizen?
The "fact" that it's the only actual space-sim game there is, since Freespace2 which came out back in '99!
Wing Commander was an integral part of my childhood, I played them all from WC1 from the moment I could reach the keyboard. Also I could quote Admiral Tolwyn before I could ask for a glass of water in English. So naturally when I heard that CR was doing the same thing again, I jumped in without thinking too much about it!
What do you look forward to most in Star Citizen? (PVP, Exploration, etc)
Trading, racing, mining, and bounty hunting! I would love to do it all, but mostly in a co-op setting rather than pvp. I remember being a hotshot pilot (which I actually never was), but I'm ageing badly, got no reflexes left for pvp.
What was the first game you remember playing?
There was one for a tv-console where you had to fly around a chopper over a map from top down view and rescue ppl off of islands and your fuel would run out if you didn't fill up at certain islands. I'm sure it was on a cartridge based system, maybe a Spectrum?
I distinctly remember I favored playing Elite to Wing Commander because I wouldn't get shot in Elite as often. I also remember Indy500, Prince of Persia, Monkey Island and loads of classic games from the DOS era on PC, but I have no idea which one was actually my first.
What other games do you play?
SP: Fallout4, Witcher3, DriveAnyTrack, Cities:Skylines, Borderlands2, whatever grabs my attention, and has a storyline, or cars, or freedom, or random loot, or just seems like fun!
MP: sometimes Elite:Dangerous, World of Tanks or Warships, and Diablo3 on xbox360 with my wife mostly
Played WoW for almost 10 years but I finally quit last year. Also played EVE but then I got a real world job so it got way too much work to handle.
Hit me up on Steam if you wanna, same username as here!
How did you first hear about Test Squadron and what convinced you to join?
I've seen it around the forums, with all the giveaways and great stuff the members were doing, it caught my attention. Also it was mentioned on RTV or someplace "official" as being huge and most importantly, awesome! Then I found out that you like beer and crashing Auroras, so I just had to give it a try!
Picard or Kirk?
Mal
