So I bought a ebook that turned out to be a ibook. downloaded itunes and then it states it needs a apple device to use. So I need to convert it to a pdf in order to read my damn book. Anyone have any experience on doing this?

Hi Salt,

I use Calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/) for all of my eBook conversions. If your ibook has no DRM then it will most likely be able to do the conversion for you out of the box. If the book is secured then Calibre may still be able to help but you would need a third party plugin to strip the DRM. If that's the case then google 'Calibre deDRM' and you should find what you need.

Best of luck

trying this now. It makes me upset that in this age we can't even have open source books. I thought about getting Apple phone but the fact it won't even work with my PC, and their Macs are overpriced and covered in red tape has turned me off for good.
