I appreciate and understand your angle, it adds a bit of frission to the risk you are taking in the 'Verse.
I'm not gonna lie I've been rocking the medical surplus supplies look since I first lost my Subscription flair falling off Orison platform. You can't go fetch that stuff off your corpse, there is no corpse, and there is a terminator line at about 18.000m which destroys your ship (last time I tried). If it falls into Orison, it's gone forever.
At that point I didn't see the point in using it if I'm just going to loose it, the only people who wear Rolex watches to work are those who can afford the money and time to go buy a new one whenever they loose it and in the 'Verse I don't have the money and definitely don't have the time to go find my citizencon 2947 Custodian SMG with the smiley face on the side. Like, it isn't even out there on sale to rebuy...
Yeah I get the intention for the game is to be a bit of a simulator with the consequences of IRL, but at the end of the day... it's a game. Loosing my favourite stuff wasn't fun, so in the drawer it stays because that is legit more fun than perma loosing it falling through the floor of Orison.
