Anvil Asgard looks to be a modified Valkyrie

Great insight Boss. I have the Valkyrie but the dust layer is rather thick. This might scratch that itch and warrant a change in the garage line up. :like:

Looks like 6 x S3 pilot guns and 2 x S4 or S5 chin turret. That's decent fire power.

Plus whatever that missile thing is - plus any chain guns mounted inside the doors.

I might have to try it out.

Meh, I wonder that the role of this "improved" version will be.
Aside from the engine placement complain and the limited cargo capacity (something the ship is not really intended for..) I don't see any reason for having a duplicate Valkire: original one is still a good ship, with plenty of firepower to cover the landing area and the ability to transport some small vehicle.
What this version can offer that the regular variant cannot? Aside from a missile turret of questionable taste and usefulness...?

Fun fact. Got me the Starlancer TAC way back when the concept was released. Drove it around some and figured that it's great and all but... kinda meh for a solo-player?
Then I got a chance to fly the Asgard on Anvil day and it took me maybe 5 minutes to ditch the TAC and switch it out for the Asgard.
To me it's like a Cutlass Black MAX.
And man, I love my Cutty.
Got the Sidedoors. (You can actually climb back in through).
Got the turret. (On the wrong end, but mostly I fly solo anyhow)
Got the VTOL. (Hovering above bunkers and switching to the turret is actually fun!)
Still gotta get used to an actual loo though.
And the lack of open wiring.
But they can't all be Drake now, can they?

PS: Now I can do the Logistic center shipping area missions by running the bad guys over in a Tonk. How great is that? :glorious:

I love this ship! It does all the things I want to do, and does them well. It's also fun to fly.

It handles mid-cargo, great for bunkers especially with regen vehicle inside, works a charm on a lot of bounties.

New daily driver (when not tooling around in the Idris), also the first ship where I LOVE every single paint!

I can't speak for all but alas I picked up an Asgard. Not sure if its like a jock strap but instead protects my ass? ... :drunk:

None the less I absolutely love the ship but could not for the life of me get a Tonk to sit in its cargo bay without vibrating itself around and out the ramp.
Could be the server I tried,...Who knows but its a great ship that has put a big smile on my Chronologically challenged ass:like:

It's not you.
It's not the server either.
According to various sources (you know, youtube "What fit's inside" videos by the usual guys) the AnvilAsgard got a weak stomach when it comes to the Tonk or the Atlas platform.
And the storm is a bouncing nightmare.
Apart from that most expected, and a couple unexpected ships can be hauled around inside that mobile home of northern mythology.
For example who would have thunk that the Golem fits smugly onto that grid? With a little room to spare for cargo?
Or put in a Pisced Med instead of the usual Ursa. Fits no problem, no clipping.
If you really insist on your Ursa but can't decide which one to take, you can fit in 3!
(If you push them in sideways. And you can still walk front to back.)
And yes. It's a perfect Fury Mini-Carrier too obviously.
Gotta love that ship bro!

This is reminding me of the old notion of putting the Dominance 2 laser scattergun on the Nox and X1 Force. The former has low emissions and two weapons. The later has a shield. Both benefit from the short distances to terrestrial targets and the Nox hits like a sledgehammer. 1000 damage per shot. Great addition to an assault team and lower profile than the Fury.

If they had Bounty pods I might have CCU'd
Naaaah.... I guess Bounty Hunting isn't the perfect loop for this beauty. Can't imagine you springing the trap on some unsuspecting gangster wannabe in a ship that big and prone to emissions.
It could store a LOT of Cryopods though.
And making a Tonk to a bandit hideout is strangely satisfying.

According to the Hawk Brochure, 75% of live bounties are taken on the ground.

We need a Bounty hunting ship that has meat racks and room for a ground vehicle that can carry a Bounty pod or two. (Ursa?) I was thinking an Andromeda with the Taurus tail section housing the meat racks would be a good variant. But this could also work.
