I voted for the Varden only because I already own the SH. My shed is full of hornets and I figure it's time to diversify my assets a bit. I love the Super Hornet and, in my opinion, it's probably one of the best combat fighters available. I just want a Varden because I don't have one yet.

I kinda had a similar idea. The Delta is wickedly quick, but when put up against bigger fighters it might as well be made of tissues. But after spending some time with it, and seeing the 3.0 reveal, I started to see it as more of an Apache gunship.

I picked up a copy off of Amazon for about 20 USD. And it is worth every penny, at least to me. Still one of my top 5 favorite games of all time.

One thing I can recommend is to upgrade to a better ship. If you want to keep the Aurora, which you should IMO, then try upgrading to the LN. It has better shields and engines, plus it has two extra guns (size 2) and a quad rack missile launcher as standard. The MR --> LN upgrade is only 10 USD...
