Heh, had a fully loaded Connie, 9600 units of cargo, potential 120,000cred run. Froze up as I approached the green light on Oli and crashed. Think I will make smaller runs from now own. Takes longer, but less of a setback when, not if, you lockup and get dumped.

My experiences with Dragon Fly's and Nox's has been that when you power on, it zooms up into the stratosphere and leaves you there to die. I was unable to ever get them to descend, they want to be up with the stars!

That is true. Travel time and speed of vessel. So far, I am loving the Cutty for this sort of thing. Fairly fast, smaller landing footprint, and decent cargo. Also, for all I know, when the server is reset, the prices might be reset. Not sure how to check that one.

Yeah, and I have run into that on occasion also. If I had known the price had changed, I would have gone with a different commodity. I could have sworn though, that I read someplace that if you have good faction with whichever group, you could get a commodity readout from your Mobi-Glass...

I spoke too soon. Made a cargo run, had my Connie fully loaded. Over 100,000 cred worth of goods. Just as I reached Oli, had landing permission, approaching the green line...locked up my system. Luckily, I was taking a fellow Testie's advice. Always hold back a couple of thousand cred...

I also had a pleasant experience today. Played about 3 hours, no crashes, no lockups, no wild gyrating of Cutty hips. Just smooth gameplay running 20-25 fps, with 25 being the norm. On one server, I logged in and was getting 55fps. Well, before others logged on, but it was a exhilarating...

I got me a Avenger TItan. It and the Kore is about the only "light freighter" that you can actually load something into the cargo area.

I have been debating going Dual Stick, but I got an X52 setup. I kind of like the throttle and stick. Also, I am kinda frugal. If it works, I cannot justify to myself buying another setup.

Yup, my first landing was in a Cutty. Landed it tail down, nose pointing up at 45 degrees. Rear hatch would not work, so I fell out a side door. I agree with Sunder, grappling hooks should be mandatory. Come on, even Stormtroopers, stationed INSIDE a huge Deathstar the size of a moon had them!

Don't know about taking off, but if you go to land anywhere there is a pad, you will need to get clearance. EDIT: Oh yeah, and don't use my normal way of taking off. Full throttle, then realize you need to strafe up...who knew those antennae were so fragile?

Not really, more along the lines of being able to finish something I started. Hate, starting something and through no fault of my own, have it come crashing down.

Thanks guys, Test Squadron is one of the best group of folks around. I was just frustrated, ALMOST had a good score, with diamonds of all things, that I found at a wreck site. Went to Levski to turn in the "black box" mission and then when trying to head to Olistar with my load of new found...

Of course you don't have to drink it all in one sitting. I mean, it is not like it is beer or something.

So far every time I try to do a mission, make a cargo run, or just cruise around, something fucks up. Game crashes, controls lock up, suddenly I am pogoing around in Levski when I try to take off. I have had it. Think I might have to walk away for a few, getting too damn stressful.
