I hate the Aurora. The variants make no sense. MS, CL, LN, Polaris, LX. That being said, the LN is my favorite and I've done rather well in combat with it. For anyone wanting an Aurora that can do anything, I'd pick the LN.
Below $100? The Herald is the only non-snub ship that I own for less than $100. The Cutlass is the closest ship to that at $100. I'd only really consider starting with either a Cutlass, Avenger, or a Freelancer. I just really don't like the guns on the Avenger, so I'd rather have the Cutlass :P...

Same thing for me. I kept the Herald. It's by far the cheapest E-warfare ship and it's made by my favorite company. Warlocks were cool but I'd rather have the potential that the Herald brings rather than having a poorly armored EMP ship. Like a weak melee ship, ha.
