To play Devil's Advocate on the side of Netflix to a degree, there is a really good series they've made based on a series of movies & that is The Witcher. I believe that this is a prime example of how an adaptation from 1 medium to another is treated well.

I've always felt & said that ambulance vehicles in the Verse should only be able to use distortion type weapons & missiles that have no explosives but actively scan for those ejected from their ships as well as escape pods, so that they can "do no harm" & thus should not be attacked.

The problem with adding the 5 additional door guns is that they don't have seats, so while the ship is in motion, especially entering & exiting quantum, they're at risk of being killed from the knock back effects that CIG has been putting in. We already occasionally die from just falling down...
