I haven't seen that lately, but I can tell you during 3.12 you could randomly be teleported to inside of Stanton. Before that 3.9 was the last time I ended up inside a moon or planet, but YMMV.

It used to happen to me a lot too. 30Ks and outright crashes are occurring a lot less than they used to, and I spent almost all of 3.12 learning how not to land on walls or upside down in hangers. My biggest problem lately has been rocks... the Prospector has really shitty brakes.

Game design decisions - yeah, that's becoming more of a problem every patch. I have no explanation for why ships that were working, suddenly stop working and CIG does nothing to fix the situation. They are doing some amazing things, but quality is not their middle name.

It's well done and it leaves me wanting more. I can say I'm also interested in more of the story. I recognize @maynard's concern. The problem though is that SC is kind of stuck in one genre, and one set of available assets. Large scale film makers aren't going to like that much. It's OK...
