UK numbers in for today Monday 11th May. Total confirmed 223,060 with 3,877 new, total dead 32,065 with 210 new. Bear in mind friday was a bank holiday (additional weekend day) and Monday from previous datasets doesn't contain all the weekend data, so a bunch more info should be through...

Thanks for the link, great find! That's definitely an unforeseen consequence, I never would have guessed a health service's capacity could shrink during a time of national crisis. The deaths at home rate has risen in the UK (link in an earlier post) but as far as I am aware I don't think think...

Andy Serkis is doing a live reading of the Hobbit tomorrow! May 8th 10 BST (5am EST, 2am PST)

Gaw, wish I'd caught a bit. It's such a mental drain to read aloud even for an hour but multiple hours? I'm not surprised he'd have had times like that, and we thought it was tiring doing a twenty minute presentation or reading a long story to our kid at bed time? All respect to the champ 👍

No need for an apology I just wasn't able to tune in due to home life 🙂 If Mrs and Baby 'BobFace don't want to hear my sounds they don't get played 😉 I was hoping for it to be on the 'Tube so I could consume it in chunks but alas no. If they put it on sale for £12 I'd buy that if I'm not...

Incomplete data suggest Germanys R rate (the infection reproduction rate) has risen above 1 person, to 1.1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-52604676 The R number basically means at 1, one infected person infects one more person so if 100 people have COVID-19 100 other people will get...

It was known to go there ages ago, i recall hearing about that at the beginning of March. I don't think they widely publicized it t the time as its just such a common symptom it would be difficult to test every case... ...that said if its a safer way of getting Covid-19, as in it doesn't go...

I didn't catch it at the time and can't find any recording, looks like I missed my chance. Good on him, a wonderful thing to do as such a strange time.

I'm in the 24 club too, 2x8's and 2x4's. Seems to work just fine :) Internet speed is the curse on my machine even though it's a jolly old potato. Doesn't help I'm on Wi-Fi rather than a wired eathernet connection.

There is an SC explanation for that - Ships and other systems use light to detect vibration, analyze it and simulate the sound of that event, so a canon vibrating from a shot being fired means you can hear it even in a zero sound transmission area. View...

Not to ask a personal question, but which county/state is this? It would be interesting to log the transmission rate if I can find one. Please feel free to refuse to answer, I don't want you to be giving out personal details on the internets if you aren't comfortable with that. If one lawyer...
