The upvote system isn't used for judging anymore as it was found that a popularity competition was an incompetent way to judge a skill based contest. All in-house judging now, all submissions are anonymsed and a short-list chosen, winners picked from that by a staff vote (from what I can remember).

Many thanks, I've just tested with mouse and keyboard and yep even if you are hovering to the side it will correct it bringing you to a dead halt dead level. I'll do a short video on it :)

DISCLAIMER: I don't fly with joysticks so don't know if the following is true, BUT... ...Hold X while hovering forward and it auto stops you by lifting the nose. Let go of X and it auto levels so you arn't moving... Voila, sorted. Any stick wagglers want to try this out for me?
