Yeah, the bigger "door" just seems to the protect collar. But the two smaller ones don't do anything. Was hoping they'd be hiding side-guns. Oh well.

Yeah man. I'm still thinking that's what those doors are for. So she'll have the two big turrets that can swivel to the side, then those doors open up to show large fixed side-facing guns to broadside the hell out of a cap ship. But then there's the theory that they are for space depth...
