There really is just something magical about rockets and the immense power of them at launch. To this end its also one of my hopes that as CIG progresses on Star Citizen they get the ship engines to have a weighted powerful feel. Right now they still are a bit lacking.
Indeed. I have a feeling that it is a combined pressure from their own revenue as well as the promises made to the marketing/publisher they picked up for SQ42. They have already said that SQ42 dates are sliding and I am sure that is causing some anxiety and so more resources are getting pulled...

They were pretty clear on the fact that the pilot only flies and has no control over the mining lasers. Not sure where the rumor the pilot would be able to do more came from or why it persists.
