I'm throwing in my vote for "wait it out." If you desperately want to try something and spend some money, you would probably do ok getting an SSD that you could then plop into your new computer, so you wouldn't lose the money. But honestly, if the game was ok before, just wait and see. Anything...

@DirectorGunner , @Sethious , not sure if you saw this yesterday, but there is an interesting story (based on forensic evidence) that the Bitcoin prices may have been artificially manipulated. I'm not saying not to do trade in crypto, it is just with an unregulated market (and some big players)...

Yeah, the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer was good, but, we didn't really see any gameplay. The latest word is that it is now a (gasp) first-person perspective, which is new for CD Project Red. Personally, I like first-person perspective, but already people are complaining... lol, trailer? More like...

Thankfully Bethesda is always good about letting you mod the game. They just won't release the modding tools until after the initial 3 months of sales are over (again, it is to keep the console experience in line with the PC experience). I see it as the perfect opportunity to wait for it to go...

So, the good news from this: Modding will happen (why not at launch? see my cynical comment below) & Private Servers! The bad news: 1. No NPC's --> my cynical take: there was a shareholder meeting where the exec's bragged about all the money they saved by not hiring artists, animators, & story...

Yes, I can understand better why studios don't do open development. A competitor could release something before SC that doesn't have anywhere near the vision...or content...but if they beat SC to release, then SC will be the "rip-off"...
